OUR HISTORY

An Amorgian vrastari (nostrum) that was used by the inhabitants of the island of Amorgos in the old days, to relief their sore throat, was the reason for our inspiration to produce our drink "Amorgion Rakomelo".

Since 2000 we started to experience on recipes with raki, honey and herbs that thrive in Amorgos, and when we reached the point that our drink was loved by those who tasted it, we decided to create the Distillery Amorgos. Our goal and vision was and is, to make quality products and advertise to the ends of the world our island and Greece.

After the great success of our first drink "Amorgion Rakomelo" and since we sold it all over Greece and abroad (Germany, England, France, Holland, Austria, Cyprus) we created other beverages based on our first Rakomelo which are the following:

    Amorgion Rakomelo: Drink from raki, honey and 8 herbs that thrive in Amorgos
    Amorgion Psimeni: This is how they called the vrastari (nostrum) they made with raki, sugar, cinnamon and cloves. We've added honey and 8 herbs that grow on the island, and we made a fantastic drink to make excite the Greeks and the foreigners!
    Mulse Melikraton (Oinomelo Melikraton): With sun-dried sweet wine, raki, honey and 8 herbs. The ancient Greeks were making this drink to boost their men when returning from war or work in order to help them carry on with all their obligations!
    Mastichato: Is rakomelo with Chios Mastic
    Lemontelo: Rakomelo with natural lemon juice
    Portomelo: Rakomelo with natural orange juice
    Our great success Amorgian Mekila from prickly pears
    The Fragkosikomelo, a very aromatic drink with an exotic taste of prickly!


We also produce Ouzo in very good quality and Raki without anise with excellent flavor.

All our drinks are patented from the Ministry of Development. In 2013 we created in Katapola our second factory distiller - Distillery - Winery – Confectionery workshop and honey, oil and herbs packing plant.

Since 2013 we produce Amorgian wines that impress all those who have tasted them for their balanced qualitative taste, as well as pastels with a traditional Amorgian recipe, and delights with various fruit flavors that stand out for their flavor.

All our creations are being prepared with great care, with pure traditional ingredients without any preservative. Our goal and vision is to prepare quality traditional drinks and foods, and the signal Amorgion to be a guarantee for great quality and unique taste in all of our products.
